It’s only a few weeks until the Easter holidays! Time really does fly….

The farm is very busy – new life in both the calving and lambing sheds every day. It’s a really busy time for us. Our piglets are doing well – growing extremely fast and venturing out into the field during the day – it’s still so wet and muddy out there – but they don’t seem to mind too much. We are all hoping for the weather to dry up soon – the lambs certainly don’t enjoy the damp conditions.

Over the past few weeks we’ve been getting the glamping cabins ready for the Spring – they’ve all had a coat of paint and they look lovely! The daffodils are all out around the site too – hopefully at least some of them will still be there for our Easter guests to enjoy.

We still have one cabin (Bare Bones) available for the Easter weekend, and a couple still for 2 nights on the following weekend (6th/7th April) – please see the website or email for further info.

We often get asked about fishing on the lake – it is a fly fishery, so fly fishing only. However we can offer a perch fishing experience for kids (all equipment is provided for this). If you’ve never tried fly fishing before, but would like to have a go, we have some friends from Haltwhistle; Carole and David Sanderson, who can offer fishing tuition by arrangement. Please see the attached photo for their contact details.

If you have any queries about anything – please get in touch,
