We’ve been working hard over the winter to prepare for the busy summer ahead. The daffodils have been flowering beautifully, the lambs and calves are popping out all over the place – hopefully Spring has sprung at last!?

In the hope of combating the nightmarish energy prices (and becoming even more eco-friendly!) we have installed a solar panel array on the farm shed roof. You may notice them as you walk round the Dam. The panels supply the Glamping site, and when it’s all connected (with batteries too) we hope we might be fairly self sufficient in energy (when it’s sunny anyway?!). Hopefully this will mean we can reduce our nightly rental rate over the autumn and winter seasons again…. we will keep you informed!

And more developments have been happening in the Fishery Lodge …. Kelly has decide to open a Cafe in the Lodge! It’s going to be a real asset to the fishery and Glamping site. The cafe will be open Saturdays and Sundays (hopefully from this weekend or next), serving breakfast, delicious sandwiches, soup and snacks, and an array of drinks. So, no longer do you have to make your own breakfast – you can stroll up to the Lodge cafe and Kelly will do it for you!

There are a couple of cabins still available for the May bank holiday weekends, and one for the August bank holiday. We are already quite full over most weekends for the summer, but there’s reasonable weekday availability if you fancy a mid-week getaway! Please email/message if we can help in any way.

See you soon!
